PoCAN8-15 – programmable smart FET output with CAN BUS allows expanding the number of outputs of the PoKeys device.
The PoCAN8-15 smart FET module provides an effective way to expand the number of outputs available on PoKeys devices. By using the noise-immune PoExtBus Smart interface or CAN bus communication, the module delivers high reliability even in electrically demanding environments.
The Smart N-FET PoCAN8-15 offers increased robustness against communication-line noise and introduces several fail-safe configuration options that further improve operational safety compared to similar products.
The N-FET output board incorporates eight high-power N-channel FETs with an RDS(on) of 5.9 mΩ and a specified peak current capability of 100 A. For continuous operation, the board is rated for 15 A or more, provided adequate cooling is ensured.
Each output exposes GND and open-drain terminals, meaning the terminals are shorted when the FET is turned on. When driving inductive loads, external protection diodes must be added between the output terminal and VCC, as indicated on the PCB.
The board also includes:
- 4 digital inputs, fully compatible with PoBlocks logic functions
- 1 green power-status LED
- 8 individual FET activity LEDs
The device can be mounted on a standard DIN rail using DIN rail mount adapter or directly via the four mounting holes.
The smart FET output board supports supply voltages up to 48 V.

With PoBlocks it is possible to make custom logic similar to PLC with PoRelay digital inputs (4x) and relays as outputs (8x). PoRelay can then run the logic as standalone device one the program is uploaded. There is an example below.
