Description
PoCANpendant is a dedicated CAN device intended for use with the PoKeys57CNC controller and the PoPendant1 CNC pendant. Its primary purpose is to extend the connection between the controller and the pendant via a CAN bus, significantly improving electromagnetic noise immunity and communication reliability compared to DB-25 connection.
The device uses a four-pin connector (power supply and CAN-H/CAN-L signals) and operates on a 5 V power supply. An integrated termination resistor ensures proper CAN bus termination. The PoCANpendant must be installed at the end of the CAN bus. The system integrated into PoKeys and Mach3/Mach4 with minimal effort.
PoCANpendant transfers all essential PoPendant1 signals, including axis selection, step multiplier selection (x1, x10, x100), MPG encoder input, and the emergency stop (E-stop). Two status LEDs provide quick visual diagnostics for power and operating state. Due to its design, PoCANpendant is well suited for industrial CNC applications where longer cable runs, modular system architecture, and high resistance to electrical interference are required.
